There was a full “house” on hand to hear our speaker in February, Bonnie Atchison, curator of the Karl C. Harrison Museum of George Washington.
Prior to the meeting, I vaguely remember hearing that there was a “George Washington Museum” in Columbiana. After Bonnie’s presentation, I cannot wait to visit the museum. She came with slides of virtually everything in the collection. The sheer amount of items in the museum is amazing. Not only will you find things at the museum regarding George Washington, but also Robert E. Lee. I encourage everyone who has the chance to visit to do so.
I will post details regarding the March meeting speaker and topic as soon as it is confirmed.
