The Decatur Public Library was gracious to assist in tracking down the “home” of Mr. Taylor’s tombstone. Susan pulled a copy of Mr. Taylor’s obituary and faxed to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office. I have transcribed the obituary below:

Ed Taylor
Funeral services for Ed Taylor, 83, Decatur 5, who died Friday at a local hospital, will be at noon Sunday at Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church. Belle Mina, Rev. H. Pendleton, officiating. Burial will be in the Living Water Cemetery, Limestone County, Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include the widow, Elnora Taylor, a daughter, Mrs. Annie B. Brown, and a son, Charles Taylor all of Decatur 5; a brother, Cornelius Taylor, Decatur; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Pitts, Athens; 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren.
Hopefully someone will recognize a name and be able to assist in getting this tombstone back where it belongs.
