Updated Review of FTM 2008

In September Melissa Paulk, BGS Hospitality, submitted a review of the new Family Tree Maker 2008 product. Read last month’s review here. What follows is an update from her to last month’s review:

After having more time with the new version, personally I feel it is very similar to “Personal member trees or Public member trees” located at Ancestry but with the capability of viewing and printing reports. I still do not recommend anyone buying FTM2008 until they can add back everything that is in the previous versions.

Family Tree Maker 2008 has a new blog:

And a customer support phone line 1-877-FTM-2008 (1-877-386-2008).

They plan on another update coming out in mid October with the hourglass chart, a register report and an ahnentafel report. Hopefully they will work on more of the problems that have been reported by the end users and come out with more update’s.
