The Alabama Genealogical Society will host its Fall Seminar at the Alabama Department of Archives and History in Montgomery on October 4th. The last day to register and have your name included in the Surname Booklet is September 24th. You can register after that date or even show up the morning of the seminar, but your name will not be included in the Surname Book. You can download the registration form here.
The speaker will be Rick Sayre. The topic will be “Using Maps in Genealogical Research” with sessions including: “Urban Mapping Tools, “Topographic & Other Maps for Genealogists,” “Maps of the Southern United States,” and “Google Earth for Genealogists.”
