Free Genealogy Class at the Iron and Steel Museum of Alabama

Birmingham Genealogical Society offers free genealogy class at Iron and Steel Museum of Alabama

Beginning and aspiring genealogists are invited to attend a free genealogy class at the Iron and Steel Museum of Alabama (located in Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park) on April 28, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. The class will be presented by the Birmingham Genealogical Society.

Space is limited, so pre – registration is required. To register please email your name, address, and phone number to tannehillmuseum@bellsouth.netor call 205-477-5711 to register by phone.

Admission to the class is free but visitors must pay Tannehill State Park’s gate fee of $3 for adults, $2 for seniors (62+) and $1 for children (6-11). Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park is 12 miles southwest of Bessemer. Off I-59/20 take exit 100 or off of I-459 take exit 1 and follow the signs to the park.
